The curved backrest is steam-bent from a single piece of beech – a technique that requires precision and skill – forming a gentle C-shape that cradles the mid and upper back. The seat is slightly scooped (a ‘contoured’ dish shape) with a smooth, rounded front edge to prevent pressure behind the knees. No upholstery is used, making this chair exceptionally easy to clean and ideal for kitchens where spills happen.
