The frame is crafted from solid acacia wood (Acacia mangium), a dense, water-resistant hardwood that is naturally rich in tannins. The acacia is given a light coat of clear outdoor sealant (water-based) that protects against moisture and UV rays without hiding the wood’s beautiful grain, which ranges from golden brown to dark chocolate. All exposed metal hardware (hinges, rivets) is made of stainless steel (grade 304) to resist rust. The seat and back are a single piece of heavy-duty polyester sling fabric (600 denier) in a charcoal gray color. The fabric is UV-resistant, quick-drying, and has a tensile strength of 250 kgf. It attaches to the frame via a tension rod system: when you unfold the chair, the fabric automatically tightens to create a comfortable, hammock-like support. The armrests are also covered in the same fabric, providing a soft place to rest your elbows. The chair’s legs have wide, rubberized feet to prevent sinking into soft ground.
